My name is Patrick Gagné. I'm an Innu from Mashteuiatsh and I study in Bioinformatics at Université Laval. My summer job, I work as a bioinformatician in a mycology lab at Natural Resources Canada. The lab's focus is on identifying pathogenic fungi, mushrooms that could destroy Canada's forests. I spent my entire childhood on a rural reserve. I love helping to preserve our forests because it's something that is very important to me. What I like most is that I have a certain amount of freedom in what I do.
